A Personal History with Immunotec Research
My name is Doug Macnab and this is my personal story about a natural health product called Immunocal. I had been involved in the wellness industry for about 3 years prior to being introduced to Immunotec Research and their flagship product Immunocal. At the time I was not really interested in marketing their product as I was busy working with a different wellness company. However I became fascinated by the CLINICAL TRIALS and documented evidence that was available from "reliable sources" attesting to the efficacy of their product.It was in October of 1997 that I first tried their whey protein isolate that I was told would raise the glutathione levels in my body. I thought I was fairly well educated in health and wellness but I had never heard of this term glutathione. I soon learned it is the master antioxidant of the human body and has to be made in the cells of our body. You cannot ingest glutathione, instead you must consume the building blocks of glutathione and have them delivered to the cells in a useable form so the body can then manufacture glutathione inside the cell. This makes glutathione quite different from other antioxidants that we learn about like Vitamin C etc.
Glutathione levels naturally start to decrease with age. Glutathione levels can be measured and often unusually low levels are found in people who are combating disease.
Whether the disease is using up the available levels of glutathione or the individual had low levels of glutathione before contracting the disease has not been conclusively determined at this time but it certainly appears that the two are related.
This fact alone has huge implications when it comes to anti-aging and diseases that are associated with the advancement of age. However I digress. My involvement with Immunocal began back in 1997 when I was 39 years old and in pretty good health, so I was not expecting much in the way of results. My biggest health issue was my knees which had been damaged playing sports and both had undergone arthroscopic surgery. Both my knees cause me a lot of discomfort and I realized I was in a bit of trouble there as I was still relatively young to have knees that ached all the time.
As I did my research on Immunocal and glutathione, it became apparent that here was a product that would be a great benefit to my health regardless of my age. Optimizing glutathione levels should slow down the aging process, help my body detoxify and support a healthy immune system which of course is a growing concern throughout the wellness industry. My mother passed away with cancer back in 1986 and several other members of my family had also died from cancer So, while I lived a much healthier lifestyle, cancer was still a concern.
I read the story of Gustavo Bounous and the incredible discovery of Immunocal back in the 1970s at McGill University and how it had produced such startling results on mice that had colon cancer. There was copious amounts of information on glutathione and Immunocal and I spent a great deal of time educating myself on how the systems were entwined.
I noticed right away that my energy levels had increased and I slowly developed a very deep rooted sense of well being that made my feel very strong and, well, healthy.
I noticed that I needed less sleep and that I rarely got sick and if I did, I could take a few extra packs of Immunocal and I would get over any cough or cold easily and quickly.
Several months had passed when I slowly started to notice improvements in my knees and a gradual lessening of the pain. After about 6 months I started to workout on the treadmill, which was something I had not been able to do for several years. As more time went by my knees stopped aching and began to feel very strong. Strong enough that I was able to start jogging again and eventually got up to several miles two to three times per week. This was an amazing turnaround from someone who had not been able to walk without discomfort. Can this be attributed to the Immunocal and raising glutathione levels? I cannot 100 percent give the credit of my recovery to Immunocal although I did not do anything else different other than add Immunocal to my daily intake of wellness products. However I have never stopped taking the product since that time and still feel great. I am now 51 years old and still hike for miles. I do not run much but every once in a while I will go for a slow jog. For the most part I remain pain free.
I am now an active distributor of Immunocal and other Immunotec products so people jump to the conclusion this is the reason I speak so highly of these products. The truth is that for years I stopped marketing Immunotec products but instead was involved with "other companies" in the health and wellness industry. However, throughout those years I continued to take Immunocal as I now understood the critical importance of maintaining high levels of glutathione at the cellular level. There is nothing more important than a healthy Immune System and there is ample evidence that Immunocal will increase glutathione levels and glutathione plays a critical role in optimizing your immune system, so it becomes a simple equation. Raising your glutathione levels will optimize your immune system and slow down the onset of aging and the diseases associated with aging. Taking Immunocal raises glutathione levels. 1 + 1 = 2. Simple!
Also through these years I would share the product with people who were facing serious health challenges and would benefit from a real product that produced real results. With Immunotec we do not have to rely on anecdotal evidence as we have Medical Patents, over 30 years of research and 34 clinical studies that have been peer reviewed and published in Medical Journals. There is overwhelming evidence about this phenomenal wellness product. Immunocal has also been recognized by internationally respected Doctors like Dr. Luc Montagnier who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 2008.
Reimbursed by Medicaid and Medicare, included in the PDR Physicians Desk Reference in the USA and the Compendium of Pharmaceuticals and Specialties in Canada and the subject of several books, Immunocal has the recognition that other products can only dream about.
This is the reason I have chosen to market Immunocal and get involved with the Immunotec business opportunity.
So, after many hours of researching Immunocal and glutathione and developing an unshakable belief in the product line I then began to consider Immunotec Research as a possible business opportunity. I have a fair bit of experience in the network marketing or MLM industry and have reached the higher levels in several different companies. I was also aware that despite the incredible product line that Immunotec had, starting with their powerful flagship product Immunocal they did not have a reputation as a great business opportunity mainly due to a medium to poor compensation plan. So, the word on Immunotec Research was "great company, organized and well run, fabulous product" but the compensation plan was not conducive to making a lot of money so most experienced networkers stayed clear.
Several attempts to kick start the business aspect of Immunotec were made over the first decade of their existence. Different Networking Gurus were hired to lend their brilliance to what was already recognized as a brilliant product, but with the same compensation plan that paid a measly 27% a miracle would have been required to get things rolling.
It was in the winter of 2007 when Immunotec Research went public and real change started to take place. Recognizing the critical need for significant reform a new CEO was appointed. There was much to be accomplished at Immunotec Research, but the most important task was a complete overhaul of the compensation plan which was accomplished and introduced in February of 2009. Packed with exciting features and bonuses, for the first time savvy networkers were able to see the extraordinary potential of getting involved with a company that had a powerful and scientifically proven product backed with a lucrative compensation plan.
Immunotec Research continues to fine tune their marketing department working on sales materials, distributor kits, product upgrades and packaging refinement not to mention an overhaul of the website and back office. Immunotec is finally ready to assume their rightful place as one of the premier companies in the network marketing industry. Immunocal is still the phenomenal product it has always been and now there is a skilled and experience management team that has taken over control of Immunotec Research. So, the business opportunity is very attractive and the timing is right.
It has been an interesting experience to watch this company grow and change over the last 12 years. It has been this positive change which has brought me back to start working with Immunotec as a business opportunity again. There has never been any doubt that Immunocal is a powerful productand it would now appear that the company, Immunotec Research has also become a powerful vehicle for people like myself who may be looking for opportunity in the wild economic environment we face today.
Returning to Immunotec and start to rebuild my business is not a decision that I make lightly, but it is one I am very happy with and very confident will be the final stop in my MLM career. I also believe it is the one where I will make my greatest contribution.
